About Us
Experienced. Compassionate. Committed.
Meet the doctors leading our practice — trusted experts in neuropsychology with over 20 years of experience each.
Dr. Michael A. Cirillo, Ph.D.,
ABPP-CN
Board-Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist
Dr. Cirillo is a psychologist licensed in Massachusetts and Connecticut, and a board-certified neuropsychologist, a credential held by fewer than 5% of psychologists nationwide. With over 20 years of experience, he specializes in complex diagnostic evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults, including ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, mood disorders, brain injury, and dementia.
He also brings deep expertise in forensic evaluation, providing Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) and collaborating with courts and attorneys. His approach is rooted in clarity, precision, and actionable recommendations that make a difference in education, daily life, and legal decision-making.
Dr. Cirillo has completed Level 1 IFS training and his therapeutic approach emphasizes parts work, allowing for greater integration of the inner experience. Dr. Cirillo’s therapeutic work is further enriched by decades of experience in brain-behavior relationships, psychological assessment, and diagnosis—allowing him to integrate a scientific understanding of the brain with experiential and relational healing practices.
He also has a certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research from the California Institute of Integral Studies and offers psychedelic-assisted therapy. This type of treatment offered through Aracarihealing.com melds very well with IFS therapy.
He works with adults in a private-pay model that allows for depth, flexibility, and personalized care. He also draws from a long meditation practice, Indigenous healing traditions, and contemplative psychology to support clients in discovering their own inner healing intelligence.
Dr. Bertha-Elena Rojas, Psy.D., M.Ed.
Clinical Psychologist & Neuropsychologist
Dr. Bertha-Elena Rojas is a clinical psychologist licensed in Massachusetts and Connecticut and a neuropsychologist with over 20 years of experience. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology (now William James College).
She works with children, adolescents, and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, neurodevelopmental disabilities, learning disabilities, and social-emotional challenges. Her background in public education—as a school psychologist, principal, and district leader—deeply informs her work with children, families, and caregivers navigating the complexities of the special education system. She also supports districts in need of independent evaluations.
Dr. Rojas also works as a forensic evaluator for the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) and the Office of the Federal Public Defender (FPD). Her forensic specialties include evaluations to support attorneys in legal decision-making related to parole eligibility under the Commonwealth v. Mattis decision, Care and Protection proceedings, and other legal matters.
Within her psychotherapy practice, Dr. Rojas supports individuals navigating trauma, life transitions, and identity-related challenges, including infertility, sexual abuse or violence, complex trauma, and migration-related grief. Her clinical approach integrates traditional psychological methods with culturally responsive care and, more recently, spiritual and somatic practices. Dr. Rojas is certified in Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy and Research which allows her to integrate Indigenous healing and spiritual perspectives in her clinical work when appropriate.
Our Philosophy
Our clinical work is grounded on providing a safe space to explore challenges, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change. Drs. Cirillo and Rojas draw from multiple therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s unique needs, for both personal growth and the treatment of mental health conditions.
Every evaluation is more than a set of tests. It’s an opportunity to understand the whole person — their strengths, challenges, history, and context. We combine scientific rigor with compassion and cultural humility to deliver evaluations that truly inform the next steps.
